Overview: Many Corporations have programs that provide a matching donation to Non-Profit Organizations (like Santa Teresa Little League) based on the donation of money or time from their employees.
Monetary Based Donations: Companies may offer to match $ for $ or at some other percentage for monetary donations made to STLL for things like our Hit-A-Thon or a Team Sponsorship.
Time Based Donations: Companies many offer to donate money when their employees give their time to an organization. Some programs give as a set $ amount per hour, while others have various other methods of calculating a donation
Giving Management Companies: Many Companies will use a Giving Management Platform, like Benevity, CyberGrants, YourCause, or Submittable to manage their Matching Program.
What is the Impact? Registration and the money made in Snack Shack do not cover the cost to put on our Baseball & Softball Programs each year. We fall about $100 short per player to cover the operational costs. Team Sponsorships are one of the main avenues for decreasing that gap. Our Hit-A-Thon is designed to bring in money for major Field & Facility Improvements, but the $50K or so brought in each year is not enough to fund many projects. Larger donations from a Matching Program can help here.
